Incubation Programme
SMF aims at having an impact on the livelihoods of the poor in a sustainable manner. Single microfinance products appear to be insuffucient in reaching out to the poorest clients, often due to the core focus on financial and operational returns. The Incubation Programme has the potential to realign the operational boundaries of microfinance initiatives. Further, it provides the microfinance initiatives with the opportunity to cooperate with the many actors in civil society to deliver the graduating out of poverty deliverables and empowering the poor, particular the millions of women that are linked to microfinance.
